Sometimes quiet, sometimes loud.
Sung and spoken.
Played and danced.
Poetry, chansons und jazz.
Alongside their programs "Ringelstern(2003) and
"Morgenmeer" (2006)
Peggy O. and Michael Sorg now present their new program
"Federsturm"
… Songs of flying and falling
… about birds, love, and death
… with humorous and serious German
poetry from Joachim Ringelnatz to
Rainer M. Rilke by way of Frank
Wedekind, the Doors, Bertolt Brecht,
and many others..
Poetry in show format
Peggy O. sings, acts, dances, speaks,
does somersaults and leaps into the air, while the U.S. jazz pianist
Michael Sorg provides for the highest level of musicality!
From Broadway hit to German cabaret
Michael Sorg composes, arranges, writes lyrics, sets poems to music and writes each piece tailor-made for his partner.
Both performers always combine in their outrageously mixed evenings of song something
to please you. For example, Rilke with Emerson, Lake and Palmer;
Christian Morgenstern with Thelonius Monk; Robert Gernhardt with
Joe Zawinul.
They perform unique renditions of pieces from Franz Schubert, Georg Kreisler, Charlie
Parker and Nina Hagen … The cross section of their programs incorporates the versatility of both artists.
" A show from Peggy O., choice, clever and witty"
